2011 National Kitchen & Bath Association President David Alderman, CMKBD to be Inducted
On January 22, 2011, the Virginia State Chapter of the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), along with an impressive lineup of event sponsors, will host the induction of David Alderman, CMKBD as the 2011 President of the National Kitchen & Bath Association. The Rotunda Lobby of the historic Jefferson Hotel in Richmond, Virginia will be the site of the kick-off reception, followed by dining, dancing, and inaugural festivities.
Dave, the incoming NKBA national president, is a living testimony to what’s at the heart of the NKBA network. Owner of Dave’s Cabinets, Inc., a business he grew from the ground up, Alderman is a committed and sincere leader, who exudes enthusiasm and belief in the organization that he credits with significant personal and professional development. His own productive and prosperous experiences through NKBA involvement have prompted this year’s national leader to encourage fellow members to “Take the next step,” which will be the theme of his presidency. Whatever that next step may be—education, certification, or becoming a member of the NKBA—he urges every professional to take action and pursue their next goal.
The vast network of friends, colleagues, and supporters he attributes to NKBA affiliation seems apparent through the long list of sponsors: Thermador, Appliance Solutions, GE Monogram, Whirlpool, Elkay, E.A. Holsten, Sub-Zero Wolf, Miele, and Marva Marble & Granite, as well as the NKBA South Florida chapter and the NKBA Baltimore/Washington chapter. Another sponsor, 20-20 Technologies, will provide two tickets to the presidential induction to each of the first two ServiceMagic members that join by January 10 as new members of the NKBA.
As a special tribute to the industry and to David Alderman as the 2011 president of the National Kitchen & Bath Association, the Governor of Virginia, Robert F. McDonnell has declared January 22, 2011 as “Kitchen & Bath Day”. This is certain to be an exciting day, as well as an exciting year, as this capable and infectiously genuine man leads the NKBA forward.
